MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT-OCTOBER 15TH THRU DECEMBER 7TH

DURING THIS VERY IMPORTANT TIME, MEDICARE PART D ENROLLEES SHOULD REVIEW THEIR PART D PLANS.  PART D PLANS CHANGE YEARLY. THESE CHANGES INCLUDE MEDICINE PRICES, PREMIUM PRICES, AND DISCONTINUING OF MEDICINE.  IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE EXTRA HELP / LOW INCOME SUBSIDY, OPEN ENROLLMENT IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO UPDATE AND ENROLL IN A NEW MEDICARE PART D FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR.

IF YOU DO RECEIVE EXTRA HELP / LOW INCOME SUBSIDY, YOU SHOULD ALSO CHECK YOUR MEDICARE PART D PLAN FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR. ASK US ABOUT THE SPECIAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD AVAILABLE TO THOSE TURNING 65 YEARS OF AGE OUTSIDE OF THE OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD.

REMEMBER IF YOU RECEIVE MEDICAID BENEFITS, ONCE YOU GET MEDICARE, YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS WILL NO LONGER BE PROVIDED BY MEDICAID. A MEDICARE PART D PLAN MUST BE CHOSEN.

DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT, FAMILY SERVICES’ GERIATRIC OUTREACH / SHIP PROVIDERS WILL BE TAKING APPOINTMENTS ON Tuesdays AND Thursdays ONLY.  PLEASE CALL 304 232-6730 TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. MARSHA OR DANA WILL ASSIST YOU WITH YOUR PART D ENROLLMENT.
